Guyana-born World Bank Director dies
World Bank Economist Laurence Clarke died in Mozambique after a battle with pancreatic cancer, the Peoples National Congress Reform (PNCR) said on Monday.
He was 63 years old.
“Laurence had a long and distinguished banking career both locally and internationally,” the part with which he had an association said in a brief statement.
The party said he died in a hospital in Maputo, Maozambique. He was the Country Director for Angola, Mozambique, and Sao Tome and Principe, in the Africa Region. Continue reading
