A giant cat has taken the internet by storm and he’s up for adoption. The 26-pound cat has struggled to find his forever home, but now people all over the country have fallen in love.

BENGALURU: For six-year-old Sulekha (name changed), the burden of a heavy school bag led to severe back pains, forcing her parents to take her to a neurologist for consultations. Her bones were found to be normal, but the pain never reduced.

She would get only temporary relief after using pain killers. It was later found that the pain was due to walking till her school with a heavy school bag on her shoulders. The pain eventually ceased once the load was reduced.

HOSPICE BLUES ON OLD YEARS NITE

Beril for a number of years in North America worked as Mental Health Technician and was very good at it.  As a matter of fact she worked in Morristown with veterans for almost 20 years and was exceptionally, competent and efficient and won several awards on the job.  But then a time came when some of the symptoms of the clients started rubbing off on her and her family and friends felt it was the familiarity of the job that was the beginning of  the obsessive/ compulsive  kind of behaviors. 

And so Beril made a conscious decision at  a matured 55 years of age to switch to Hospice Nursing in her  adopted community of Newark and avoid the 36 mile trek up and down the rolling hills to Morristown five and six days a week.   

Beril when she left her old job came to her new job highly recommended and well qualified. and so she took the opportunity to downsize and reorganise her life and life style.     At the interview the salary that was   offered, comparatively speaking it was better and she lived ten minutes from her home .    Continue reading

Ms. Marcia King celebrated her 70th birthday last October in Ottawa with a preexisting condition.  Marcia was quite Pretty, Polite and Plural (PPP); as 100 of her dearest friends reassembled in a group collective to wine and dine with her on this auspicious occasion.

Marcia is a breast cancer survivor and the evenings function was punctuated with hymns, prayers and readings from her home church JULIANNE OF NORWICH….an Anglican outreach diocese on Rossland Road in Ottawa.

Immediately following the church service, the tidy group repaired to a social ballroom where DJ Terry Cheong (DJ T.C) played music reminiscent of an era and period long past..             Continue reading

(AP) – A feel-good tale of a homeless man using his last $20 to help a stranded New Jersey woman buy gas was actually a complete lie, manufactured to get strangers to donate more than $400,000 to help the down-and-out good Samaritan, a prosecutor said Thursday.Burlington County prosecutor Scott Coffina announced criminal charges against the couple who told the story to newspapers and television stations along with the homeless man who conspired with them to tell the story.

Mighty Shadow Dead At 77; Will Receive Honorary Degree From UWI Posthumously

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad and Tobago October 23, 2018 (CMC) – The University of the West Indies (UWI) said, today, the honourary Doctor of Letters degree that would have been conferred on Winston Bailey, the legendary Trinidad and Tobago calypsonian, this weekend, will be presented at Saturday’s ceremony, in special tribute.

Bailey, also known as “the Mighty Shadow”, died at hospital, early today, following a stroke. He was 77 years old.

He was among five people, including former West Indian international cricketer, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, who were to receive honorary degrees from the University at the graduation ceremonies on Saturday.
