UPDATE:  LIST OF CABINET MINISTERS  [see list at end of this entry]

Within the first 72 hours of the swearing in of President David Granger, there has been a deliberate effort to unbundle the criminal gangs marauding the landscape. A prime subject, Steve Marai former chief of the Berbice police division and chief of security to Bharrat Jagdeo, has been taken into custody as a person of interest for several murders including that of Crum Ewing.

Mr. Granger has met with his security team and will retain Seelall Persaud as Commissioner of Police and Mr. Phillips head of the army. Other changes in the Police Force have been put on hold.

On Sunday, President Granger started his first official working day by driving himself to church at his spiritual home Church Of The Transfiguration on Mandella Avenue. Later he mobilised contractors and citizens alike to start cleaning and renewing downtown and residential areas on a volunteer basis. President Granger also jump-started the renewal and re-enhancement of Monuments and symbols of independence. The first project was the independence arch on Brickdam. He also got a team of drainage and irrigation experts to start desilting the Sussex Street Canals.

In the meantime he has appointed Carl Greenidge will be the new Foreign Affairs Minister and former Budget Director Winston Jordan the new Finance Minister. Rupert Roopnarine will be Education Minister and Prime Minister Moses Nagamootoo will co-ordinate the various ministries and focus on Constitutional Reform. Other appointments will be announced this week, prior to their Inauguration on May 26th.

Today I feel compelled to throw in my two cents and comment on the back hand slap Bharrat Jagdeo put on Donald Ramotar just because the latter advised him to concede. This episode reminds me of an incident many years ago……..1976, April month to be exact, I remember the month because the person who told me the story, his last name was April and he lived near Supenaam on the Essequibo Coast. Apparently, a father and son were embroiled in a family fiasco and the son chuck his father, once, twice, three times and then reached for an axe handle and finish him off. Mr. April saw the entire episode and remarked when wood ants can eat iron pot, imagine the fate of calabash.

I always knew that Jagdeo was no kinda-man at all and never listens to anyone much less an older and less wiser old man. As a countryman myself I have always heard the word koon being referred to men who are not intellectually predisposed and so respectfully, Jagdeo fits the bill as a koon.

Not only has he lost the election but he has lost credibility within the party and nation.

There are some known knowns about INDIANS and their behaviors. It takes a lot to get an Indian to go against his mattie and when he does, the whole baby party done…..bruck up. In this case the PPP will never be the same again.

The elder son of Ramotar had to step in and dispense two upper cuts of his own on Jagdeo. The two men have not spoken since. There is no reason to do so because Jagdeo pass-win and is tabulating that as a badge of excellence. Ramotar on the other hand has never won anything in his life…. not even a school raffle … and has nothing left in his tool kit to bounce back from. The love and passion Janet and Cheddie had for the people in Guyana, is sorely missing between dem two.

The PPP under Jagdeo became an ATM Machine. Perhaps President Granger should appoint a truth and reconciliation team and dole out reparations to the former employees and farmers who were displaced. The average East Indian is 32 times richer than his black counterpart. Only one in ten blacks has a bank account while Indians average 7 in 10. Eight of ten blacks have a cell phone while five of ten Indians do. Indians do not consume Banks products while blacks are ambidextrous especially if it is free. This new administration will be both muscular and testicular and will squeeze the balls of all those who discriminated against the Guyanese people.

IMG-20150516-WA0011Come May 26, Inauguration Day, the cabinet appointments would be complete and the forensic investigative teams would be in place to investigate the dealings and corrupt ways of all the former cabinet members without exception. Several Cronies will be affected too. The new administration has received donations of orange jump suits for the men and pink for all others. Kwame and Lumumba and Rohee will have cut off legs version so that they can display their elongated legs et al. ASOMELYKAM.
