G-MAC DEPARTS WONDERFUL WORLD

G-MAC  DEPARTS WONDERFUL WORLD

By  EWAL AINSWORTH                               08 28 2013

G-MAC…a former commissioned officer in the Guyana National Service has deliberately discontinued his Facebook account and has departed this world for the great beyond.

Given name… Gerald Mc Kenzie recently celebrated a  significant birthday;  immediately after  everything went downhill.

A patriot at heart; pioneer by acculturation and good citizen by gradualism, G-MAC had more salt than many others had rice.
And so in this upward journey his regrets are few and his position assured.

G-Mac was unable to return to work at RORAIMA travel services where he became a landmark worker and a helpful quantity.  His wife Lorna earlier released a statement in a still subdued voice…

Sometimes different words have different meanings in different climes.  TALIBAN is a set a big girls …  groupies who are jumping  to JEGGAE’s  heart pumping  music far and near and getting handsome participation and sales.
And if response was great over there, beware and beaware.  Jeggae will have you jumping and shaking uncontrollably…any where you want it eh.  He has rehearsed and been drinking cogue as he introduces his best release live…to date.  Continue reading

PAPERBACK PRETENSIVE CLASS EMERGING IN PEOPLE’S ARMY

By EWALT  AINSWORTH                             08 25 2013

SHALOM:  Fresh from a trip to the  HOLY LAND in Orlando Florida this writer had a vision…an uncomfortable  two-part  one at that. The army…the men and women of steel who are supposed to stand their ground are pretending, bending…folding and plastic.  The upper echelons of the GDF are both confused and abused…they will never recover from this episode of promotions by the confusionists within the ruling party.   The brave and bold have become paperback editions of jiggery-poogery…delaying too long to stand up for what is right in the sight of their fellow comrades.  Speaking up at this time will not hurt.
The PPP is deliberately creating stress and stressors by appointing and disappointing too many professional operatives at the same time, as if commonsense is going out of style.   In a single brush…a chinee brush….two colonels, one time, have been made brigadiers….set up for dismal failure.  Continue reading

FINE CUT-ASS FUH CHEATING WIFE

A Guyanese man on Friday appeared in court for severely beating his wife after he returned from vacation in Jamaica and found her having sex with another man in their home.

However, they declined to offer evidence against each other and the matter was dismissed. He also committed to replacing two shirts and two cell phones that he had purchased in Jamaica for his wife by August 23.

Gary Beckles,24, was accused of assaulting his reputed wife, 25-year old Sherona Noble, to cause her grievous bodily harm on August 7 at their Lombard Street home.         Continue reading

KEITH BOOKER…VILLAGE ADMIRAL…DIES

BY  EWALT AINSWORTH             08 20 2013

Legendary Keith Booker had a full and robust life; every activity he engaged in was simply beautiful.  On the national stage he was a Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Sports with the PPP; prior to that he was head of the Young Brigade and national cadet corps…YB & NCC…youth arm of the Guyana National Service.  Keith was also an accomplished musician and sports enthusiast.

This writer saw him and had a great ganga September of 2011 at the 60th birthday bash of Dr Kenneth Smith in the foothills of the sprawling Pennsylvania exurbs.  He walked with a cane but his intellect, humor and good manners were all in touch and in tandem.  GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU AHWEE-BOY.  Continue reading

Former GUYSUCO Chairman Harold Davis has died

The first Chairman of the state-owned Guyana Sugar Corporation (Guysuco), Harold Davis died  early Wednesday morning after a prolonged illness, a family member confirmed.    He was 88.

Davis earlier this month celebrated his 62nd wedding anniversary and he would have been 89 in September.

He served as the first Chairman of the sugar corporation when it was nationalized in 1976 from the United Kingdom-based Bookers.

Davis, who was a former Pro Chancellor of the University of Guyana, was awarded the Cacique Crown of Honour (CCH) in 1980. He retired as Chairman of the Guyana and Trinidad Mutual (GTM) insurance company earlier this year due to declining health.  Continue reading
