An internal memorandum shuffling between and among top brass of the Joint Services reveals that Assistant Superintendent of Police, Errol Watts may be responsible for at least 50 deaths in strife torn communities including Buxton.

Reports also suggest that Mr. Watts is being extricated from the Linden theatre of confrontation.  His agitated and emotional state has led his superiors to believe that he may need some type of intervention.  At the end of the month he will be sent overseas for training and new ways to respond in stressful situations.            Continue reading



Deceased broadcast pioneer and international Public Servant Guyanese Hugh Cholmondeley will be funeralised on Friday August 17, 3.00 pm at the TILMAN CHAPEL.  The Chapel is located at 777 United Nations Plaza, Manhattan, NY NY.

A memorial service will be held in Guyana at a later date.

Hugh started his sterling career in Georgetown and was a leading broadcaster in the era leading up to Guyana’s Independence in 1966.  The Guyana Press Association is among scores of regional and international outfits paying tribute at his passing and referred to his contribution as both legendary and exemplary.

Hugh became the first General Manager of GBS  in 1968 before taking up leading-hand positions  at CBU  and  CANA. He also had an extensive and impressive tour of duty with the United Nations.

Mr. Cholmondeley died in New York on August 10, 2012 after a brief illness and treatment.  He was 73 and is survived by his wife and four adult children.
